Jehovah was not in the wind. And after the wind, an earthquake: Jehovah was not in the earthquake.
And after the earthquake, a fire: Jehovah was not in the fire. And after the fire, a soft gentle voice. (1Kings 19:11-12)

Peace

"For he himself is our peace,
who has made us both one and has broken down
in his flesh
the dividing wall of hostility."
by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances,
that he might create
in himself
one new man in place of the two,
so making peace,

and might reconcile us both to God in
one body
through the cross,

thereby killing the hostility.
(Ephesians 2:14-16)

Peace . . . the harmonized relationships between God and man.

He Himself . . . Jesus alone through His blood was able to bring me, a Gentile, into this precious position . . . now in Christ Jesus. Once I was far off, but now have been brought near.

The barrier . . . the dividing wall of hostility . . . the middle wall . . . has been broken down . . . destroyed . . . in His flesh!

We are now a new man . . . the Church . . . the mystery! Created in Himself!

He preached peace to those who were far off . . . not only to those who were near.

For through him we have both access by one Spirit to the Father.
(Ephesians 2:18)

Without the cross I would not be able to claim this truth.

Now, if only I could understand what this truly means!

Lord, please teach me your truth.
