“In a sense journal keeping is a form of prayer;
we are ‘searching our hearts’ in God’s presence
and asking Him to ‘know our thoughts’.”

Love that quote. (I am putting it in my journal!)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend! :)

DeleteDear Rebakah
ReplyDeleteI think any thought towards God, ever sigh, ever tear are all a part of prayer as well! You know those times when we have no words, but can only call out His name!

From one Journaler to another - So Much Yes!!! I have stacks and stacks and usually several going at once... and so often what I start to write is not intended to be prayer - but oh how it turns into that! I love this! Visiting from The Weekend Brew today! Have a blessed weekend!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree that journaling (at least mine) is praying. I so often am doing just that as I write, even when surrounded by others in a coffee house or in the Barnes & Noble Bookstore. Just the way I write and have for years. Thanks for your affirmation here. Caring through Christ, ~ linda
ReplyDeleteHi Rebekah! I like the way you point out that journaling is a way of searching for God. I journal quite a bit, but I always thought it just helped me remember my inspirations. I like your take on it!
ReplyDeletePeace in Christ,
Ceil
I am what you call and ADD journaler. I have a few journals started but I can't seem to stay with one. I would love to get back to the discipline of journaling!
ReplyDeleteI'm much like Barbie. I love to journal but need to make it more of a daily habit. I loved this quote and will need to remember it. Have a blessed Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI'm here from Barbie's. I love this quote about journaling. I've kept all of my journals for 3 decades! I love having the history of my walk with God written down, the good times, the hard times, the things He has spoken to me.
